Pricing: My Pricing tab includes a description of my standard packages (session fees plus a limited number of digital files). If you are looking for something different, I'm sure we can create a package to meet your needs.
Payment: Payment is due when you receive the link to your online gallery and select which images you want to receive as digital files. Any digital files you would like to purchase beyond those included in your package can be purchased a la carte. My gallery hosting website accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Viewing your images: You will receive a link to your online gallery within two weeks of your photography session. The gallery link is active for 30 days, is shareable with your family and friends, and can be extended for a nominal fee if you need more time to make your selections. As every photography session is different, each client’s gallery will have a unique number of final images.
Editing: All of the images are individually edited before I post them to your online gallery. Once you decide which images you would like to purchase, those images receive one final edit before delivery.
On Location Photography: It's all about the light! I’m primarily a natural light photographer and I have my favorite local parks and historic sites around the metro Washington, DC area. Let’s collaborate to find the perfect location for your photography session.
Studio Photography: I have a natural light home studio in Arlington, Virginia for mini sessions if you interested in Individual, Headshots, Newborn, Infant, or Maternity Portrait sessions.
Digital files: The digital files you select are delivered to you through Dropbox (included with your session fee) or can be sent to you on a flash drive to your mailing address ($15 delivery charge). The digital files are appropriate for online sharing and are print-ready (no watermarks) up to 10” on the longest side which will allow you to make unlimited personal reproductions and copies for your family and friends. If you would like to purchase a reprint larger than 10” on the longest side, I offer reprints and canvases a la carte and can provide you with a price list upon request.
Copyrights: ‘Copyright’ means that I am the creator of the image, and therefore, I retain the copyrights to all images with the rights to use them for promotional purposes, competitions, professional reviews, etc.
Booking a session/holding a date: We can work together by email, text, or phone to determine a day and time that words best for you. No deposit is required. For Full Sessions (60-90 minutes), I only book a limited number of appointments during a given day, to allow for some last minute start time tweaking for any unexpected weather issues. During the winter months, I won’t schedule a session after 3pm due to limited light. During the summer months, sessions can be scheduled up until 6pm.
Weather contingencies: As long as it’s not raining, we can work outside. If the session is a complete wash-out due to rain, we can reassess on the day and come up with a contingency plan.
What to wear: Think "simple, timeless, and comfortable" and "coordinating but not matching” if there's more than one of you being photographed. Solid colors or subtle patterns generally photograph better than bold patterns or graphics that might be distracting. Dressing comfortably provides the most flexibility for sitting on the ground, running around, holding or kneeling with younger kids, etc. without having to worry about those dreaded ‘wardrobe malfunctions’. I'm happy to discuss your ideas anytime. And please help me by double checking those little details before the shoot…..clean glasses, nail polish, phones and keys in pockets, etc.
Gift certificates: Gift certificates for future sessions are available. The Fall season is the busiest for family portraits. Spring is a wonderful time to capture your high school or college senior before graduation and portraits for Mother's Day or Father's Day.
Thanks for considering me!
