What are your session packages? Descriptions of my standard packages (session fee + digital images) are described on the Session Pricing page. If you are looking for something different, I'm sure we can create a package to meet your unique needs.
How do I pay for my session and digital images? Payment is due upon receipt of your online gallery and selecting your digital images. I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
How do I view my images? You will receive a link to your online gallery within two weeks of your photography session. The gallery link is active for 30 days and is shareable with your family and friends. As every photography session is different, each client’s gallery will have a unique number of final images.
Do you edit the images? All of the images posted to your viewing gallery are individually custom edited. Once you decide which images you would like to purchase, those selected images will receive one final round of editing.
What is "On Location Photography"? It's all about the light! I have my favorite local parks and historic sites around the metro Washington, DC area, but let’s collaborate to find the perfect location for your photography session.
Do you offer Studio Photography? My natural light home studio in Arlington, Virginia is available for mini sessions if you interested in an Individual, Headshots, Newborn, Infant, or Maternity Portrait session.
How do I receive the digital images that I select from the session? The digital images are sent to your email address through Dropbox (included with your session fee) or for an additional $15 charge, I can mail you a flash drive with all of the purchased digital images.
What size are the digital images? The digital images are appropriate for online sharing and are print-ready (no watermarks) up to 10” on the longest side which will allow you to make unlimited personal reproductions and copies for your family and friends. If you would like to purchase a reprint larger than 10” on the longest side, I offer reprints and canvases a la carte and can provide you with a price list upon request.
Are the images copyrighted? ‘Copyright’ means that I am the creator of the image, and therefore, I retain the copyrights to all images with the rights to use them for promotional purposes, competitions, professional reviews, etc. For any digital images that you purchase, there will not be a watermark on them.
Do you require a deposit to book a session? We can work together by email, text, or phone to determine a day and time that words best for you. No deposit is required. For Full Sessions (60-90 minutes), I only book a limited number of appointments per day to allow for any last minute tweaking for any unexpected weather issues.
What about the weather for outside sessions? As long as it’s not raining, we can work outside. If the session is a complete wash-out due to rain, we can reassess on the day or the day before to come up with a contingency plan.
What should I/we wear? Think "simple, timeless, and comfortable" and "coordinating but not matching” if there's more than one of you being photographed. Solid colors or subtle patterns generally photograph better than bold patterns or graphics that might be distracting. Dressing comfortably provides the most flexibility for sitting on the ground, running around, holding or kneeling with younger kids, etc. without having to worry about those dreaded ‘wardrobe malfunctions’. I'm happy to discuss your ideas anytime. And please help me by double checking those little details before the shoot…..clean glasses, nail polish, phones and keys in pockets, etc.
Do you offer Gift Certificates? Gift certificates for future sessions are available. The Fall season is the busiest for family portraits. Spring is a wonderful time to capture your high school or college senior before graduation and portraits for Mother's Day or Father's Day.
Thanks for considering me!
