The Experience and How It Works | Washington DC

START THE PROCESS

Call, text, or email to let me know you are interested in a Portrait Experience Session. We can schedule a quick call to go over questions. My contact info is HERE.
Decide on a session date & timeframe to temporarily reserve your session. All sessions are booked as a "morning' or 'afternoon' timeframe. Morning sessions can begin between sunrise and 10am, afternoon sessions can begin between 2pm and 3 hours before sunset.

SESSION FEE PAYMENT & PREVIEWING YOUR IMAGES

Pay the $200 Portrait Experience Session Fee (or the $250 Headshot Session Fee) AFTER your session.
Approximately two weeks after your session, receive access to your online, private Previewing Gallery. Every client’s gallery is unique: most 60-90 minute sessions yield 300+ custom-edited images and most 30 minute Headshot sessions yield 30+ images.
Spend the next four weeks deciding which images are your favorites!

BOOK YOUR SESSION & PRE-SESSION CONSULTATION

Electronically sign the Photography Agreement that I'll send to your email address to officially book your session on my calendar. My Photography Agreement details the process, prices, timelines, copyrights, model releases, and rescheduling options. To review my session descriptions and prices, click HERE.
No advanced deposit is required - only your e-signature on the Photography Agreement.
Schedule a Pre-Session Consultation phone call to plan your specific session details (location options, exact starting time, what to wear, what to expect, etc). This is also an opportunity for me to get to know who I'll be photographing so we will all feel more comfortable before meeting on your session day.

SESSION DAY

FINALIZING YOUR ORDER

Schedule a Post-Session Consultation to finalize your Digital Collection and any Optional Fine Art Print order before your Previewing Gallery expires (4 weeks from the date your link is sent - a two week extensions can be purchased for a $25 reposting fee).
Pay for your Digital Collection (Collection A is the minimum) and any optional Fine Art Prints through your gallery’s online payment portal.

ADVANCED PREPARATIONS

Finalize your session location.
Decide what to wear for your session (option: text pictures if you'd like feedback)
Touch base the day before the session to double-confirm our exact meeting location and time.
Discuss a contingency plan if the weather forecast looks questionable.

ORDER DELIVERY

For Family, Senior, and Branding Experiences, approximately two weeks after your order is paid, your digital images will be available to download from another gallery of your favorite images purchased in your Digital Collection.
Upon request, the same favorite digital image can be mailed to your street address on a flash drive.
Headshot Session digital images will be send through a downloadable gallery.
Any optional Fine Art Prints ordered will be arranged for pick-up in Arlington, VA.
