Senior Year is such a special year for appreciating your hard work, enjoying the moment, and planning your next steps - definitely a milestone worth celebrating!
This High School and College Senior Portrait Experience Welcome Guide is a general overview of the process, but we'll also discuss your questions in more detail during your PreSession Consultation.
Thank you for the privilege of documenting this pivotal time in your life.
WHAT TO EXPECT:

No Modeling Experience Necessary: Please don’t worry about lack of ‘experience’. You have tons of experience being authentically you and that’s exactly what we’re going to capture.
I’ll take a lot of pictures during your session! We’ll move around and I’ll offer suggestions for how you can sit, stand, or change your expressions so that your final gallery has lots of variety.
OUTFIT RECOMMENDATIONS:

Be Authentically You: While the focus of your session will be you, advanced planning for your outfit plays an important role. I want you to feel confident and relaxed - so wearing something that helps you feel that way is ideal.
Number of Outfits: Your session can include two outfit changes to capture a formal and casual look. If you'd like to consider other options, let's discuss a plan which may depend on the location we use.
What to Wear: When choosing what to wear, consider:
is it comfortable?
does it look good from every angle?
does it fit appropriately, and most importantly
does it make you feel great?
I have a lot of detailed advice in another blog 'What to Wear For Your Senior Photos' linked HERE.
LOGISTICS:

Start Times: The sun doesn’t wait for anyone, so be on time to ensure we don’t need to end your session early due to lighting.
Meeting location: Make sure you know the exact meeting location
Unpredicted weather: If it looks like it will rain during our session and we can’t shift the start time on the session day to achieve better weather, we’ll need to reschedule for another day.
Cell phone: For last minute questions/updates, my cell number is 571 212-4258
WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR SESSION:

Hairbrush
Touch-up cosmetic products (lip balm and body lotion for dry lips/skin, etc.)
Outfit change and/or Graduation regalia cap/gown/tassel - double check that you haven’t forgotten anything (socks, shoes, belt, undergarments, jewelry, hair accessories, etc.)
Plan on walking a bit….so bring slides/slip on shoes if you’re wearing fancy shoes that are hard to walk in….we can stop and change your shoes when necessary.
Empty pockets and a tote bag if necessary to corral your loose items, such as your cell phone and keys.
Most importantly, bring the expectation that your Senior Photography Experience is going to be fun!
AFTER THE SESSION:

Two weeks after your session, pay the Session Fee ($200) to receive the link to your online, private, previewing image gallery.
Your gallery will be active for four weeks while you decide which Digital Image Collection you’ll purchase (Collection A is the minimum purchase).
Professionally printed Fine Art Prints are optional.
See the Pricing page on my website and/or your Photography Agreement for specific pricing.
DIGITAL IMAGE COLLECTION AND
OPTIONAL FINE ART PRINT DELIVERY:

Once you’ve placed your Digital Image Collection order, I’ll address any final editing tweaks and send you a link to a downloadable gallery so that you can download the images to your own devices for unlimited digital and personal printing up to size 8x12. Any optional Fine Art professional prints ordered through me can be arranged for pick-up in Arlington.
FINALLY:
I’m really looking forward to meeting and photographing you!
My cell is 571 212-4258 if you'd like to text questions and/or pictures of outfit considerations if you're looking for feedback.
